Is Connect a product I buy on its own?+
Connect is the integration platform inside Popay, the engine behind every connection we build. Most customers meet it through a specific integration, like a payroll export or a PeopleRecord feed. The Integration service is our team building and configuring flows on Connect for your setup. Think engine versus the team that fits it to your systems.
How is this different from point-to-point integrations?+
Point-to-point scripts are opaque and brittle. They break quietly and leave no trail. Connect centralises every flow with live monitoring, replay and a full audit trail, and we watch those flows alongside you. When something looks wrong, you can see exactly what ran and where it stopped, and re-run any record once it is fixed.
What can Connect connect to?+
Your existing HR, payroll and legacy systems, plus file-based sources (SFTP, ZIP) and APIs, on a schedule or event-driven.
What if we switch provider?+
We connect the new provider to the landscape you already have. There is no extra licence for another connector, and the rest of your integrations stay exactly as they are.
What happens when a flow fails?+
Live monitoring alerts you immediately, and shows which step it failed on. Flows retry according to your rules, and once the cause is fixed you can replay any record. Nothing is silently dropped.
Can I see and change what a flow does?+
For every run you see what ran, what was sent and what failed. The mappings and business rules themselves are ours to manage: ask for a change and we make it, and rolling it back needs no new deployment.
Do I need the rest of Popay to use Connect?+
No. Connect can move data between third-party systems you keep. It’s the keep-your-systems layer, not a rip-and-replace. It also powers PeopleRecord and Insight if you adopt the wider HR Data Management layer.
